Hello again Harry | My First Year™ Part 2 | Brooklands, Romney Marsh, Kent

July 29, 2011

I spent last Saturday with Harry for his second My First Year™ photo shoot. The first shoot was in December 2010, when Harry was a baby of 4-months. 7 months later and Harry is a proper little boy with a big personality! Harry is now crawling and I don’t think it’ll be long before he is off, running around. I predict the final My First Year™ shot may be a challenge to keep Harry in one place long enough to get photos!! I love a challenge though!

We did the second photo shoot at Harry’s grandparents house, Poplar Hall, which is a photographer’s dream! There are just so many beautiful spots to use as a backdrop! Harry’s parents, Ben and Emily, also got married at Poplar Hall (a wedding I was fortunate enough to photograph), so it was really nice to be back there again photographing the family….and of course, this time, adding Harry to the mix!

Emily chose Harry’s outfits very carefully, and I think you’ll agree, he looks very cute in them! We got some fantastic shots of Ben, Emily and Harry. What a gorgeous family! We also got some great shots of Harry with his lovely Grandparents Gillian and Mark.

Whilst on the shoot, the dogs appeared at the gate. So we promptly got some great shots of the dogs and Harry together. This is the first time that I’ve done a shoot involving children and animals….and you know how the saying goes?! However, I can honestly say that both Harry and the dogs were amazingly well-behaved and an absolute delight to work with!! In fact, Bobby, the youngest of the dogs, made the perfect assistant for me as he got Harry’s attention every time!

Another great day spent with the Hodgsons! A special thanks to Gillian and Mark for the lovely lunch too!

You can see Harry’s first My First Year™ Shoot here. I will be visiting him in a few weeks to do his Cake™ shoot. Looking forward to that one as apparently Harry has a bit of a soft spot for a slice of cake!
